Treve Ring

When other girls were playing with dolls, Treve was reading cookbooks. That interest, along with growing up amid the bounty of beautiful Vancouver Island, propelled her to a career celebrating foodstuffs. Treve is a certified sommelier, wine consultant, writer and editor. In addition to her regular contributions for EAT Magazine and editing the wine column of EAT online, she has written for other publications throughout the Pacific Northwest including Metro Vancouver, Cityfood, BC Wine Trails, Wine Islands, Focus and Visitor’s Choice. She has worked for the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association, as Catering Manager at Swans Suite Hotel, and has managed a season at Marley Farm Winery. In 2007 Treve was invited to be a judge at Oregon’s Northwest Wine Summit, and was also awarded a Les Dames d’Escoffier scholarship for her wine writing and studies.  She is currently Communications Manager and company sommelier for Edible British Columbia.
